As a parent, it isn’t long before your house becomes FULL of toys! With so many options these days, it’s easy to get caught up in it all. I often wonder though if are all these toys safe? Do they make a beautiful designed room look ‘junky’? How can we strike the right balance? As a trained scientist, I think about it all. The dye’s in the material, the strength, the durability and their shelf life (do they ever break down when thrown away)?

Below are some of my favorite baby room activities (and toys) for kids that are safe, sustainable and design-approved. After all, we don’t want the ‘activity gym’ or toys to take over the vibe of our baby room and home.

1.Wooden Play Gym

This wooden baby gym is 100% handmade with care and love from local birch wood and not treated with any oils. Our baby gym is very stable, strong and sturdy. The birch wood gives the stability and reliability, as well as very beautiful natural coloration of the wood. With your little ones in mind, only water based paint was used for painting the bottom of the gym.

2.  Fabric Baby Swing

3. Sustainable Woodland Toy Set

Toys can be full of toxic dyes (most of them are when made in China) with unregulated materials that never break down. It doesn’t have to be this way. Why not invest in life long toy sets that can be passed down and kept as a keepsake for generations.

This is such a lovely and absolutely adorable DECORATION for baby nursery. It’ll bring happiness and joy!
